Dr Mah Hussain-Gambles is an expert in Organic, Halal and Eco-ethical products and technologies for cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food supplements, toiletries, speciality chemicals and spas, providing a Halal consultancy service to international organisations.
In 2007, she was the first to launch a Halal and Organic Certified skincare range in the West (www.saafpureskincare.com).
She is a founder member of the European Halal Authority (www.europeanhalalauthority.org) set up in 2006 as Europe's first independent Halal accreditation body specialising in non-food products and speciality chemicals. She is a frequent speaker and writer on the same subject in international events and journals, and recently wrote the cosmetics manual for the Malaysian Halal Development Corporation, titled 'The Modern Compendium of Halal'. She is an advisor to Halal Certification Bodies in the UK, International Halal Integration Alliance (www.ihialliance.org) and Halal Development Corporation (www.hdcglobal.com). She specialises in Halal training, auditing and advising organisations and manufacturing sites on how to become Halal compliant.
Her team specialises in identifying brand USPs for the target market, both UK and International. Expertise in terms of formulation and brand development, packaging, website, contract manufacturing and copy writing can also be provided. As well as preparing a PIF (Product Information File) to comply with EU Cosmetics Regulations, specific support on specialised testing and independent accreditations.
